Legal terms for using ReceiptLah to scan receipts, organize expenses, track tax relief folders, and export reports.

Last updated: January 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the ReceiptLah mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, rent, transfer, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where allowed by applicable law.

3. No Professional Tax Advice

Important: ReceiptLah provides organization and calculation tools based on general workflows. It does not provide professional accounting, tax, or legal advice.

You are responsible for verifying exported data before submitting anything to the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN). Consult a qualified tax professional or accountant for personalized guidance.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to use the App for illegal purposes, input false or misleading data, attempt unauthorized access, harm others, or share account credentials in a way that compromises security.

5. Subscription and Payments

  • ReceiptLah may offer a free tier with limited features.
  • Paid features may be available through in-app purchase or supported app-store billing.
  • Store billing, refunds, cancellations, and renewal terms are governed by the relevant app store and your selected plan.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, logos, features, and the ReceiptLah brand, is the intellectual property of ReceiptLah and its licensors. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7. Data Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. ReceiptLah is designed as a local-first receipt manager, with optional network features where enabled by you.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, ReceiptLah is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profit, business interruption, tax penalties, audits, interest charges, or rejected claims arising from your use of the App.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services such as cloud storage or app-store payment systems. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective after posting or notice. Continued use of the App means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Malaysia, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
